A
remotely operated cast iron penstock was found to be inoperable
at Moseley underground reservoir in Yorkshire. PMP was commissioned
to remove the old penstock and fit a new stainless steel penstock
and replace the remotely controlled operating gear.
The work had to be carried out in a designated confined space in
the underground reservoir. The old penstock and remote operating
gear was removed and the new system was installed and tested in
a two day window.
